NanoImaging Services is the industry leader in cryo-electron microscopy, with more cryo-EM scientists and TEM microscopes than any provider in North America. Through our subsidiary Proteos, we also provide expert protein production services to pharma and biotech clients. Together, we offer an integrated platform that supports drug discovery and development from structural characterization through protein expression and purification.

The Head of Marketing will own digital demand generation, account-based marketing, and sales enablement across both the NIS and Proteos businesses. This position reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute multi-channel digital campaigns targeting researchers, core facility managers, and procurement decision-makers in the cryo-EM, structural biology, and protein production markets
  • Build and manage account-based marketing programs for named pharma and biotech accounts, in close partnership with the sales team
  • Own SEO/SEM strategy and continuously optimize for conversion
  • Track and report on campaign performance; define KPIs and hold yourself accountable to them
  • Develop sales enablement materials including talk tracks, email sequences, one-pagers, and battlecards
  • Coordinate with scientific and product teams to ensure messaging accuracy across a technically demanding domain
  • Develop content for the NIS and Proteos communities including application notes, webinars, case studies, and thought leadership
  • Support trade show and conference strategy including pre- and post-event campaign nurture
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and identify new channels and partnership opportunities

A successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of B2B marketing experience iwith a strong focus on digital demand generation and/or ABM in a life sciences or technical market
  • Familiarity with the cryo-EM, structural biology, or protein production community; you understand the buyer, the workflow, and the language
  • Proficiency with marketing automation and CRM platforms
  • Strong analytical skills; you know how to read campaign data, identify what is working, and adjust accordingly
  • Exceptional written communication skills; you can translate complex science into compelling copy
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with sales teams
  • Based in the Greater Boston area

Nice to have:

  • Graduate degree in a life sciences discipline (biochemistry, structural biology, biophysics, or related field)
  • Hands-on experience with cryo-EM instrumentation, sample preparation, or protein production workflows
  • Experience marketing to pharma and biotech R&D audiences
