Nicole is a cryo electron microscopy expert focused on high resolution structure determination. She received her PhD from UCLA working on cryo-EM high resolution structure determination of prokaryotic motility organelles such as archaella and bacterial pili using the first Titan Krios installed in the world. As a post-doctoral researcher at UCSF, Nicole continued to improve her cryo-EM skill set by determining protein structures essential for host-pathogen interactions. In 2020, Nicole joined NIS as a Principal Scientist and in 2022 she took over as the Group Leader for Target Structural Enablement services.
