NANOIMAGING SERVICES, INC. MOVES OPERATIONS TO EXPANDED FACILITIES

La Jolla, Calif., March 30, 2011 - – NanoImaging Services, Inc. announced it is moving to an expanded facility to accommodate current and future growth. The new location provides state-of- the-art laboratory space and almost doubles operational space. Clint Potter, NanoImaging Services President and CEO, stated, “The move will allow us to expand our service offerings and continue to provide our clients with the highest quality Molecular Microscopy services from now and into the foreseeable future”.

NANOIMAGING SERVICES, INC. IS SELECTED BY FORESIGHT SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY TO PARTICIPATE IN NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH PROGRAM TO COMMERCIALIZE BIOMEDICAL TECHNOLOGY
San Diego, Calif., February 1, 2011 - – NanoImaging Services, Inc. announced it has been selected by Foresight, Science and Technology as a recipient of an NIH funded program to assist in commercialization support of submicron protein aggregation services. The program, available only to a limited number of recipients, supports the commercialization of technologies funded through the NIH’s Small Business Innovation Research Program. Characterization of nanoparticles and biologics is a critical step in the development of important new pharmaceutical therapeutics as, in many cases, preclinical characterization is the rate-limiting phase of the commercialization process. There is considerable evidence that the physical properties of biologics and nanoparticles is tightly linked to their functional behavior and may thus be a determining factor in the biodistribution, safety, and efficacy of the pharmaceutical product. The range of samples that have been characterized at NanoImaging Services include a wide variety of drug delivery vehicles (liposomes, dendrimers, polymeric nanoparticles) and biologics (enveloped and non-enveloped viruses, virus-like particles, macromolecular complexes, antibodies). Through the utilization of sophisticated technology and methodology, including cryo-electron microscopy which provides exact “visual” information related to size, shape, morphology, and aggregation of a sample in its natural hydrated state, along with the ability to reveal three-dimensional structures, NanoImaging Services provides critical answers to questions related to interactions of nanoparticles with their environment.

NanoImaging Services Receives Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the National Institutes of Health
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 19, 2010) - NanoImaging Services, Inc., announced today that it has received a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the National Institutes of Health through the National Center for Research Resources to develop new methods for quantitative characterization of nanoparticle morphology and aggregation state using molecular microscopy. The grant provides approximately $200,000 in research and development funds for a Phase I study.

SAN DIEGO, CA (June 30, 2009) - NanoImaging Services, Inc., a provider of molecular microscopy imaging services for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, announces the availability of an electron tomography service. Electron tomography provides three-dimensional structural information of nanoparticles such as viruses, liposomes or protein complexes.
